Handmade Laundry Soap MIGHT Be Ruining Your Laundry and your Washer!

Aug 7th 2023

About six months ago Cosgrove & Lewis pulled our laundry soap from the market. We thought it was great stuff, and so did our many repeat customers. HOWEVER, after advanced testing of our product and other competing products we found that it wasn't what we thought it was.

In fact, we are now of the opinion that NO soap-based laundry product is adequate. Soap just isn't a good product to use for washing modern fabrics. It builds up in the fabric, and it doesn't really clean very well. In fact, we have seen that it can damage clothes and your washing machine, too.

Modern fabrics need detergent, not soap. There's a difference, as it turns out, a BIG difference. Soap and detergent are not the same things. Sure, you can wash your clothes with handmade laundry soap for pennies a load, but IT IS NOT CLEANING YOUR CLOTHES.

Stop using homemade laundry soap. Stop buying handmade laundry soap from any company. As explained in this article, you can prove the problem to yourself by "stripping" your laundry. Try it. It'll gross you out.
